Wheeling Feeling Chili Cookoff Rescheduled for July 18

WHEELING, W.VA. – In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Wheeling Feeling Chili Cookoff is being rescheduled from June 6 to July 18.
Committee Chair Rose Humway-Warmuth said organizers are still planning a great event, but it will be held a little later this year.
“Those who have attended and participated in the Cookoff before will still experience the fun, festive atmosphere and great food to which they have grown accustomed,” she said. “And for those who have not yet experienced the Wheeling Feeling Chili Cookoff, we invite you to join us.”
Held at Wheeling’s Heritage Port, the Cookoff will include entertainment throughout the day and a car cruise. Proceeds from the event will again benefit the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley.
All chili cooks - commercial, restaurants, individual and youth, ages 6-17 – should mark their calendars and enter the Cookoff, which is presented by the City of Wheeling and sanctioned by the International Chili Society (ICS). Cash prizes will be awarded in a number of categories. The first place winners in all the categories will be eligible to enter the 2020 ICS World Cookoff as well as qualify for the 2020 World Food Championships.
