We are bringing this cook-off BACK! There is no better place to celebrate the 4th of July than with chili, a beer garden, live music, cornhole, Fillmore & Western Train Rides and MORE! It will run right next to the Sespe Creek Car Show.

COOK DETAILS
This event will be outdoor in a grassy shaded park.

There will be plenty of parking behind the park.

Cooks must provide everything needed for a 10x10 space.

Cooks must provide wash/sanitize station per booth – mandatory by the Health Department.

SCHEDULE
Cook Set-up: 6 – 8am (YOU MAY NOT DRIVE ON THE GRASS TO UNLOAD)
All cooks meeting: 8 – 8:15am
Homestyle: 9am – 12pm
Youth: 10am – 1pm
Salsa Turn in: 10am
Chili Verde: 11am – 2pm
Public Chili Tasting: 11am – 2pm
Traditional Red: 12:30 – 3:30pm
Awards: 5pm (approx.)

COMPETITION ENTRY
You must be an ICS Member to compete. Entry fees are separate per category (i.e. Red, Homestyle, Verde, Salsa, etc.) and will be collected independently by the Cook-off Organizer.

All chili contestants must prepare TWO gallons of People’s Choice chili (PC). There will also be entry fees per category, as determined below.

EARN MONEY: All chili cooks who prepare FOUR gallons of PC will be reimbursed $0.25 per taste token received. The 4 gallons will be checked by ICS prior to the start of PC Public Tasting. Taste tokens must be verified for reimbursement.


TRADITIONAL RED
Entry Fee: $35
Prizes:
1st - $500 + trophy
2nd - $250 + trophy
3rd - $150 + trophy


HOMESTYLE
Entry Fee: $30
Prizes:
1st - $400 + trophy
2nd - $200 + trophy
3rd - $100 + trophy


YOUTH HOMESTYLE
Entry Fee: $20
Must have 5 contestants for competition to take place.
