Chili Tasting from 11am – 3:30pm 

Come on out for a family friendly day at historic Josey Scout Lodge where you’ll find new and seasoned chili cooks competing for a spot at the World Championship Chili Cook-off!  Admission is free; tasting kits are $5 each (6 samples) or $20 (unlimited samples).  Taste some world-class chili, browse the vendor market, and enjoy some live music. We will also have a beer garden for adult beverages!  When the day is done, don’t forget to vote for your favorite chili!  More details at chilly.joseyscoutlodge.org 

Proceeds benefit repairs and maintenance to historic Josey Scout Lodge, built in 1934.   

THIS EVENT IS A 2027 QUALIFIER!

You must be an ICS Member to compete. Entry fees are separate per category (i.e. Red, Homestyle, Verde, etc.) and will be collected independently by the Cook-off Organizer. Please contact the organizer (info at top) for more information.

• 10x10 space provided

• Cooks must bring their own canopy/tent, table & chairs and supplies

• No electricity provided

• Pre-registration is encouraged

 

• They’re doing the dishes — they’ll have folks ready to wash the cooks’ dishes on site!

Any Youth participating should contact the organizer for more information.  The fee is compete will be $30

ALL CONTESTANTS must prepare TWO gallons of People’s Choice chili (PC).

Please note that the # of gallons of PC is per adult/youth, not per category.
