1998 - B & M's Double Flush Salsa

Bonnie Ford and her husband Mike joined ICS in 1990. Every since jumping into the chili world, they cook all over the country at an average of 12 cook-offs each year. To date they’ve cooked in California, Arizona, Nevada and as far as Hawaii- where they finished 2nd after a tie-breaker!

Ingredients

3 lbs Roma tomatoes, seeded and chopped coarsely
1/4 lb Jalapeno peppers, sedded and chopped finely
3/4 lb Maui onions, chopped finely
3 bunches cilantro, remove stems and chop finely
2 tsp dry granulated garlic
1/8 tsp green chili powder
1/8 tsp Tabasco Sauce
2 Tbsp Wesson Oil
3 Tbsp red wine vinegar
2 Tbsp lime juice
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 Tbsp garlic salt
Pinch MSG
1 Med Avocado, peeled, seeded and diced medium

Instructions

Gently mix all of the above ingredients together except for the avocado.

When ready to serve: add avocado, adjust salt, add more heat (Tabasco) to taste.
