COOKOFF CHAIRMAN - PLEASE READ
I'm finding that more and more paperwork is being sent in that is NOT complete. Please be sure to fill in the sanctioning application with as much information as you can. The back side of the application is the Terms and Conditions page and that needs to be signed and dated before returning it as this serves as a contract between you and the ICS.
The Questionnaire is another form that has important information missing when returning it after your cookoff. I need to have the crowd size and the amount you donated to your charity - % donated will not work for us - a dollar amount is needed. We understand that it's not always possible to have that figure right after your event but PLEASE get it to us as soon as you can, I don't want to have to chase you down for it. My desk fills up quickly with unfiled paperwork due to all the omissions so please be sure to get things back to me filled in completely - my desk would be cleaner!
ATTENTION MEMBERS and COOKOFF CHAIRMEN
Since 2001, the annual maintenance fee for Lifetime Members has
remained at $25 and the annual fee for Charter Members at $42. Over the past seven years, nearly every operating cost has steadily increased resulting in
the need for the annual maintenance fee to be increased to $30 and the charter membership fee to $50. This change is effective as of December 1, 2008.
What is the ICS?
The ICS is a not-for-profit organization that sanctions chili cookoffs. These events
are worldwide and benefit charities or nonprofit organizations. All winners of ICS
sanctioned cookoffs qualify to compete for cash prizes and awards at the World's
Championship Chili Cookoff. The ICS is the largest food contest, festival organization
in the world. Our sole purpose is to promote, develop and improve the preparation
and appreciation of true chili and to determine each year the World's Champion Chili
through officially sanctioned and regulated competitive cookoffs. This association
